Haven't come up with a name yet. Haven't even finalized the heraldry.

I have come up with a color scheme though.

These guys have lots of details missing and aren't painted anywhere near what I consider finished.

But i thought I would share because I assembled and painted all of these guys in 10 days. Not sure what everyone elses painting times are like (with a GF and 3 kids) but for me, that's record breaking.

Check 'em out and let me know what you guys think.

Same ole' stuff again...

Well it's been over a year since my last post but I am back in it.

What happened in that year?

Well I lost my job, wrecked my car, had some girlfriend problems, and had some legal problems.

I have sold all of my armies off, several thousand dollars worth of stuff but I am officially back.

My FLGS ran a 1000 point "raid" tourney last weekend in honor of the Dark Eldar release and I am userd it to be my official return to gaming.

My GF is buying me some Dark Eldar too...

Pics of the marines I have been painting up for the tourney to follow, for now I'll post some preliminary DE lists I have been tossing over in my brain housing unit.

My 2000 point list is looking something like this:

Vendetta Gunship - Take That Forge World!!

Forge World is now taking preorders on their Vendetta upgrade kit so I thought I would post pics of mine.

I actually did this about a week before I did my Ares Land Raider but got bored and stop working on it.

Theres just a couple more detail spots I need to hit and I need to finish the base.

Guess I should get cracking on this thing before Forge World actually releases their kit ;)

Lucky 13s - Ork Tellyporta

Ok I am going to try and post the trials and drama of my local game shop and our Lucky 13's apoc campaign. The first scenario requires 5 Ork Tellyportas and we have a terrain day coming up so we can hammer them out as a group but I decided to goof off on one on my own.

I am not the best terrain maker and this was not an attempt to tout my skills (or lack of) but instead to show how quick and easy this could be done.

My friend, Troy, and I spent about 2 hours putting this together, most of that time was spent looking at coolminiornot.com and drinking beer.

I have about 3 hours into painting this and most of that time was spent eating dinner, watching TV, and talking on the phone. I didn't do anything more than drybrushing and washes and put a couple decals on.

A lot more effort could be put into it to achieve better results but I think this also illustrates that a pretty decent terrain piece can be achieved with very little effort.

p.s. I just wanted to add, for those that aren't familiar with the Lucky 13s scenario, that the Tellyportas are sent crashing to the planet, housed inside rocks, under cover of a meteor shower.

That's why I attempted to model this as it had crashed on the planet.

Forgeworld Warboss... and friends

This is my first attempt at making weekly blog updates.

I rarely stay on one project from start to finish, I instead bounce around from model to model. As a result I end up with a lot of "almost done" guys sitting around on my desk.

So, I am going to start posting my wips every friday and maybe that will motivate me to finish one.

Firstly, I asked my daughter for a cool name for a dread and this is what she told me. She has never heard of a Macharius tank. I think its a kick ass name.

Well I searched the entire internet for examples of how I can mass produce desert bases for these Tomb Kings and while I found lots of really cool tutorials on how to make some really amazing looking bases nothing worked for what I needed.

I needed to slam out around 100 desert bases with limited time and limited budget.

So I bought a bunch of basing material and mixed them together and presto!

Desert bases.

Yes I know there are some mold lines showing in some of these pics but I agreed to paint them, so I painted them as they were given to me.

Not completely anyways.

I have no internet, haven't for about 9 months now, so I may as well be dead as far as some of you are concerned.

My Sisters of Battle, Fallen Sisters, Cryx, and Circle of Orboros armies are all being put on hold while I finish my Dark Angels 4th Battle Company. This is an attempt to teach myself how to start a project and focus on it untill it's done and I am hoping it will be my first fully painted Apacolypse force as I will not field it untill the entire thing is done and painted, which, hopefully, will teach me how to "speed" paint.

Untill that time I will continue to use my other armies.

Troy has also stopped all other projects (including the thunderhawk) untill his guard is 100% done. He is making a whole lot more progress than I am though.

He currently has 2 Baneblades, 3 Leman Russes, 1 chimera, 1 basilisk, and around 2 platoons worth of infantry painted.

I have my comand squad, including librarian and company chaplain, assempled and mostly painted and 2 devastator squads and 2 tactical squads assembled.

Hopefully I'll be able to post some wip pics.

F'n Privateer Press

It's well known among Warmachine / Hordes gamers the issues that PP has with their packaging thralls.

Opening up your new blister or box set and discovering that your missing a head or a weapon is not news to us anymore.

Back in November I bought a set of Druids of Orboros that was missing a hand and a Necrotech that was missing his lower body. I also bought a set of Farrow Bone Grinders that I initially thought was missing a bone grinder but turns out I was wrong about what the unit size was supposed to be.

On Dec 1st I emailed frontdesk@privateerpress.com to take care off it and I got a very speedy response from PPS_Adam.

No pieces though. After several reminder emails (and several "sorry I forgot, they're on their way" responses) I finally got a package on Jan 22nd. No druid hand in there though.

I sent PPS_Adam another email telling him I got the body but no arm and he replied back, promptly as usual, and said it would be on the way.

16 days later I am still waiting....
